Tetra Tech ARD (www.tetratechintdev.com) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for the active West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA BiCC) programme. This is a five-year USAID-funded programme whose goal is to improve conservation and climate-resilient, low emission growth across West Africa.

West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change Programme (WA BiCC) is funded by USAID West Africa and implemented by Tetra Tech ARD. The Program seeks to engage a Grant and Subcontract Manager who will oversee the administrative implementation of the project's Grants under Contract (GUC) and Subcontract activities under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for Operations and in collaboration with the Project's technical team, to ensure full compliance with USAID regulations and Tetra Tech ARD procedures and policies. The Grant and Subcontract Manager supervises a team of 2 Grant Specialists and builds the capacity of staff and grantees in grant/subcontract management and compliance.

Job Description

This is a five-year USAID-funded programme whose goal is to improve conservation and climate-resilient, low emission growth across West Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with WA BiCC Technical Team Lead(s) and Knowledge & Learning Specialist to plan, prepare, stage and debrief at key environmental-oriented learning events;
  • Lead a professional facilitation process designed to thoroughly engage participants; promote action learning and knowledge transfer and culminate in an agenda for follow-on action;
  • Advanced facilitation skills will include planned field trips, with event participants, where 'show and tell' experiential learning with and through local communities/sub-national government will be required;

Required Skills or Experience

  • A basic and or advanced degree in Adult Education, Communication Sciences, Management, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Agronomy or another related field.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively increasing responsibility for designing and facilitating at high profile, international learning events, including recent demonstrated experience facilitating at environmental events.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French is a preferred but not necessary requirement.
