The Escaping Poverty Project
Escaping poverty is a replication of the Ultra Poor Graduation program that “graduated” the ultra-poor from poverty with a package including skills training, a productive asset, access to health care, a savings account, and consumption support. Ep is testing combinations of the program components in a randomized control trial to see if a s cheaper bundle can give similar benefits. EP is also testing group cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a new intervention.

Position Summary:
IPA seeks to recruit project field staff (Field Supervisors, Surveyors, Team Leaders and Auditors) for a short term contract to help us collect data from respondent already identified in a population sample.

This position is temporary and will be based in Tamale, Savelugu-Nanton, Tolon, Kumbungu, Kassena Nankana, Talensi, Kintampo North, Techiman North and Municipal, Wenchi, Offinso North and Municipal, Affigya Kwabere and Sekyre South districts in the Northern, Upper East and Ashanti regions.

Field Supervisors

  • Monitor/supervise field teams assigned to him/her.
  • Properly execute his duty as a Field Supervisor.
  • Should report to the FM of the Project.
  • Adhere to all IPA survey and data protocols;
  • Perform other Duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her;
  • Should be familiar with Computer Assisted Interviews (CAI) or keen to learn
  • Be responsible for maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organizations and project participants.

Surveyors

  • Collect data from respondent in the study sample.
  • Properly execute his duty as a Surveyor.
  • Should report to the Team Leader of the Project.
  • Adhere to all IPA survey and data protocols;
  • Perform other Duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her;
  • Should be familiar with Computer Assisted Interviews (CAI) or keen to learn
  • Be responsible for maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organizations and project participants.

Team Leaders

  • Monitor and supervise surveyors in their duty as data collection enumerators.
  • Properly execute his duty as a Team Leader.
  • Should report to the Field Supervisor of the Project.
  • Adhere to all IPA survey and data protocols;
  • Perform other Duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her;
  • Should be familiar with Computer Assisted Interviews (CAI) or keen to learn
  • Be responsible for maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organizations and project participants.

Auditors

  • Properly execute his duty as an Auditor.
  • Should report to the Field Supervisor of the Project.
  • Adhere to all IPA survey and data protocols;
  • Perform other Duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her;
  • Should be familiar with Computer Assisted Interviews (CAI) or keen to learn
  • Be responsible for maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organizations and project participants.

Required Skills or Experience

Applicants;

  • Must be a FEMALE
  • Must understand and speak one of these languages; Dagbani, Kassena-Nankana, Talensi, Nabit and Twi fluently
  • Very fluent in English.
  • Excellent translation skills.
  • Must have an HND, first degree or its equivalent from a reputable institution with at least one-year field/data collection experience
  • Should be familiar with Computer/android phone Assisted Interviews or keen to learn
  • Experience in gender-based and culturally sensitive data collection is a strong added advantage
  • Must have residency in the project’s municipality/district of choi
