Job Description

Position Summary:

  • The HR/Admin Manager is to support the Country Project Manager in the planning, implementation and performance of ALL Personnel related activities of the organization.
  • He is also to ensure that the organization adheres to all statutory regulations of human resource of Country.

Duties:

  • Assist in developing a manpower plan for the entity under the guidance of Chief of the Zonal Manager. Further partake in activities relating to selection, placement and deployment of staff
  • Supervises the registry and ensure the safe handling and security of incoming and outgoing mails
  • Responsible for the maintenance of an effective filing system
  • Handle letter of application and respond accordingly
  • Assist the Zonal Manager in implementing the performance management systems of the entity
  • Prepare annual leave administration and regular update of staff leave records
  • Supervise the work of the supporting staff,
  • Supervise staff attendance and punctuality
  • Handle staff welfare matters including liaising with management on funeral arrangements of staff, bereaved staff, wedding and naming ceremonies, staff parties etc
  • Drafting of memos, reports and correspondence as requested by the Zonal Manager and the Country Project Manager.
  • Organise staff durbars
  • Compensation - Administer employee’s compensation. This includes all forms of pay and reward received by employees for the performance of their jobs
  • Training and development - Design employee’s orientation Programme
  • Collate training needs of staff
  • Prepare an annual training Programme
  • Prepare approved budget for training and development
  • Assist in the implementation of the training Programme of Staff
  • Industrial relations - promote and undertake activities that enhance industrial peace and harmony between the various categories of employees of the entity
  • Conduct surveys to bring about best human resource practices into the Entity
  • Any other duties assigned by the Zonal Manager and the CPM

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Business Administration or Related field with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a comparable position
  • Must have adequate knowledge and skills in computer applications for industry/commerce
  • A university Degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage
