Reports to: Project Coordinator

The Field Officer-Education will be responsible for the implementation of activities related to the education component of the project as stipulated in the work plan and assigned by supervisors.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the implementation of the day to day activities of the Education component
• Create a good rapport between the organization and stakeholders in the Education sector in the regional, district and community level
• Prepare timely and periodic reports on activities implemented according to the template provided by M & E unit and programmes department
• Organize workshops, seminars, meetings, orientations  and trainings  at the district and community level
• Responsible for the planning, implementation and reporting on all activity areas of the project
• Assist in the collation of data from the project area as directed by the M & E unit
• Performs other duties and undertakes other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

• A first degree in Education, Social Science,  Integrated Development Studies, Community Development and Development Studies
• Two (2) years’ working experience on any Education project
• Computer literate
• Skills in report writing and planning
• Ability to mobilize opinion leaders to participate in the organization’s activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
