Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to handle recruitment, induction and placement functions as well as staff grievances and discipline and the separation process of employees
  • Knowledge of the labour Act, 2003 (Act 651)
  • Ability to handle payroll management and general compensation administration, including salary surveys and benefits
  • Ability to assist in preparing / updating the organization’s HR Policies and procedure Manual, Code of Conduct and other projects that may be assigned
  • Ability to maintain Personal and administrative Files and ensure that documentation is in accordance to the statutory requirement
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of performance management system
  • Ability to prepare Job Descriptions for the positions in the institution
  • Must be able to prepare Monthly and Annual HR Reports and departmental Administration duties

Required Skills or Experience

  • Must have proven track record of people and office management
  • Must have excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Must have initiative with strong organization skills, with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Persol and skills in excel
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
  • Proficiency in French will be an added advantage

QUALIFICATION

  • First Degree plus 5 years’ experience in Human Resource and Administration
  • A professional certificate from a recognize body such as IHRMP, CIPD, SHRM etc.
