Clean Team is Ghana’s leading social enterprise for in-home Container Based Sanitation (CBS) solutions. It is run by Ghanaians who provide solutions that help resolve Ghana’s current sanitation crisis. About 60-70% of Ghanaians don’t have access to clean affordable toilet. This has resulted in many residents resorting to open defecation in our communities. Clean Team’s existence is to provide a solution to these problems by presenting an affordable household toilet option for residents in Kumasi. Clean Team Ghana is represented by a team of dedicated men and women who, are committed to improving Ghana’s current sanitation challenge.

Job Description

Title: Systems Support Specialist
Organisation : Clean Team Ghana Ltd

Overview
With the recent implementation of a new mobile services business platform and a primary focus set on its ongoing development we are looking to recruit a young and gifted in-house software and systems support professional
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The systems support specialist shall take on the following responsibilities as required:
  • Systems administration; including configuration management, data backup, restoration during disaster recovery and software release management, for all systems to achieve 99.9+% uptime and maximum user productivity.
  • User support: in the form of structured user training programmes in various business applications and providing  in house help desk services
  • Update and maintenance of the current Clean Team website
  • Efficient and effective issue logging, reporting and resolution systems
  • Documentation of new software or system changes on any  technology platform 
  • Creation and maintenance of social media presence using outlets such as Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin.
  • Maintenance of current network infrastructure, including network performance monitoring reporting and  optimization.
  • Policies and procedures to maintain and improve system performance.
  • Provisioning of general IT support I terms of hardware, software, device recommendation and purchase, device fixes and system and data backups.
  • Documentation of all activities carried out in any section of the organization.

Required Skills or Experience

A minimum academic qualification of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required with general knowledge and skill in the following areas of interest:

  • Computer Networking and troubleshooting.
  • Android Mobile platforms 
  • Website development and hosting.
  • QuickBooks Accounting software (both online and offline versions) will be viewd favourable.
Also, advanced knowledge and skills in the following areas will also be an advantage:
  • CCNA.
  • SQL, SQLite and MSSQL.
  • HTML 5, CSS.
  • PHP, Javascript
  • Management of Active Directory Domain Services in Windows Server 2012 R2
The following non-academic qualifications are required:
  • Logical and objective, with an ability to think ‘outside the box’ and see the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results driven with good time management skills.
  • Good leadership skills in order to obtain appropriate information and to arrange and coordinate projects.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail.
