Job Description

• Troubleshoots network and computer related issues with assistance from respective departments.
• Configures computer networks, LANS with assistance from respective departments.
• Ensures regular updates and upgrades of systems with assistance from respective departments.
• Clearly defines and escalates problems to Tier 2 (Customer Support Helpdesk) on issues needing further investigation.
• Pro-actively monitors the production environment
• Conducts proactive maintenance activities designed to ensure optimal operation of the Data Centers.

Required Skills or Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent education / certification
• HND in Networking related course
• Diploma in Networking related course
• Professional certification – CCNA or MCSE

• 1year work experience in a computer related field
• A good mix of knowledge on hardware, software, network, and security
• Ability to understand basic networking principles/mechanism to be used for basic problems resolution.
• Progressive IT experience, including experience in a multi-office environment
• Good problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills

• Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels
• Trustworthiness and reliability-ability to conduct self in a manner which elicits trust, respect and confidence of management and workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
