JOB PURPOSE:

The Driver shall be responsible for providing reliable and courteous transportation service with safety being a top priority. The role reports to the Administrative Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Deliver goods to their destinations safely and on time in line within the company's policy and guidelines
• Chauffeur company staff and visitors as assigned
• Undertake daily checks on vehicles and report any vehicle defects at the earliest opportunity
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions, delayed pickups among others
• Maintain up to date logbooks for each vehicle assigned and ensure mileage is correctly recorded for all journeys undertaken. Submit logbooks to the supervisor as required
• Ensure adherence with all traffic regulations and policies including checking that road license and insurance are valid and renewed on time

Required Skills or Experience

• Valid Commercial Class C driving license
• At least 5 years driving experience in a corporate environment
• Minimum of Senior High School Certificate
