Job Description

Purpose

  • To ensure that the products or services of the organisation provided is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both internal and external requirements
  • To ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures with the organisation.
  • To ensure manufactured products meet set standards of quality, reliability and performance and coordinate all activities required to meet quality standards.
  • To ensure all employees working at the production unit are aware of quality requirements and provides training in best quality control processes.

Job Description

  • Evaluating the company’s product specifications and examining them with customer requirements.
  • Setting quality assurance compliance objectives to achieve the targets.
  • Promoting performance improvement and quality assurance programs throughout the organization.
  • Manages the inspection and testing of fabric to ensure adherence to established quality standards
  • Propose corrective actions to improve compliance with quality control methods, procedures and standards
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day – to day performance of their jobs and ensures departmental goals are met.
  • Defining quality measures in conjunction with working staff.
  • Understanding, evaluating, and executing the tests and procedures properly and investigating the product modifications.
  • Directing workers engaged in testing and measuring product, tabulating the data relating product quality, materials etc.
  • Maintaining and setting up documentation and control procedures.
  • Supervising technical team in carrying out checks and tests.
  • Monitoring performance by collecting relevant information and preparing statistical reports.
  • Conducting Inline quality control checks during production
  • Determining relevant quality associated training requirements and delivering training.
  • Contemplating the application of health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collating and analyzing performance charts and data against defined parameters.
  • Writing management and technical systems reports.
  • Collating the staff of various disciplines and driving them to plan, develop and agree broad quality procedures.     

General Duties

  • Perform any other duty that may be assigned by management

Required Skills or Experience

  • First degree in fashion.
  • Experience: 5 or more in a similar role.
