Job Description

Seeking an experienced Site Foreman who has 5 to 10 Years’ experience in Civil Works/Construction. Should have the skills to understand and follow drawings plus independently control the workers on site as a site foreman.Should have worked in a reputable construction firm as a site foreman.

The responsibilities of the Site Foreman includes but not limited to the following:

• Checking the contractor's setting out and supervising the construction and quality control measure in respect of works;
• Assessing the adequacy of labor provided by the contractor and his method of work in relation to the require rate of progress and, when necessary, taking appropriate action in order to expedite progress;
• Assessing the adequacy of materials to be given to contractors and monitor proper and efficient use of materials on site;
• Keep daily record of materials, labor and equipment associated with the works and their movement
• Ensure compliance of instruction given by the project director and other professionals of the team of the contractor;
• Report to the general supervisor and/or construction managers and other profession on any defect in the quality of contractor's work and passing back to the contractor any instruction for their rectification;
• Supervise and ensure that quality control measures for the works are complied with;
• Report to the general supervisor/construction manager any accident or unusual happenings at the site and;
• Perform all other tasks not specifically mentioned above, which are necessary and essential to successfully supervise all tradesmen on site.

Required Skills or Experience

• HND Civil Engineering or Building Technology or Architecture. A degree will be an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years' field experience in residential, commercial, road, or civil infrastructure construction.
