Position: Project Officer

Vacancy: Two (2)

Location: Abelenkpe, Accra (Greater Accra)

Job Type: Contract

Period: One Year renewable subject to performance and funds

JOB BRIEF:

We are looking for two (2) individuals to join our team as Project Officers with responsibilities for project implementation, monitoring and reporting. The project officers will report to Program Manager through the Projects Director

Required Skills or Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Project Officer, you are required to provide essential support to the project, working with the Project Manager, the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator, and other team members to achieve project success.

You will have responsibility for the following tasks:

  • Assist with the preparation and review of project logframes and budgets
  • Quarterly reporting on projects activities and financial
  • Schedule and organize project meetings
  • Liaising with project partners as part of monitoring in project implementation
  • Identify Problems or Risks associated with project implementation and recommending mitigating measures with project manager
  • Managing project schedules by monitoring deadlines for each project task
  • Working with the financial team to reconcile project activity funds
  • Maintain project documents such as annual reports, quarterly reports etc.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in development planning, agricultural economics or related field
  • Must have completed National Service
  • Certificate in M&E or Project Management is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the NGO environment
  • Ability to work on more than one project
  • Experience in managing data
  • Experience in developing and refining data collection tools, e.g. questionnaires, interview guides
  • Experience in proposal writing
  • Excellent writing skills and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge in French is advantage
  • Ability to work and report in a matrix environment and working with multiple consortium members will be a plus
  • Basic knowledge of financial management
