Job Description

Our client, a luxury cosmetics organisation is looking for a well-organized and a proactive Key Accounts Officer to help with their operations in Ghana.

Role Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. He/She will help in building strong relationships with strategic customers and be able to identify needs and requirements to promote the company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

Specific Duties

  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company
  • Resolve key client issues and complaints
  • Develop a complete understanding of key account needs
  • Anticipate key account changes and improvements
  • Manage communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Manage account team assigned to each client
  • Strategic planning to improve client results
  • Negotiate contracts with client and establish timeline of performance
  • Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client
  • Work with sales team, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all client needs met
  • Collaborate with sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
  • Meet all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Analyze client data to provide customer relationship management
  • Expand relationships and bringing in new clients

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/business administration/sales or relevant field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ previous work experience in sales/management/key account management or relevant experience

 Requirement

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Must be goal-oriented and organized team player
  • Must be able to mentor and lead other employees
  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry
  • Must be eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Must be able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
  • Basic computer skills, and experience with accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts
  • Ability to multitask and manage more than one client account
  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
