Job Description

Reports To:  Hr / Admin Officer  

We are a reputable Fashion company in Accra seeking to engage a performance driven and a goal oriented HR Intern. The successful candidate shall be responsible for performing a mixture of HR task as well as some administration experience during the internship in the HR / Admin department.

Duties Of The Role
The HR intern shall perform HR / Admin duties:
Specific Duties:

  • Assist in end to end recruitment
  • Record all resumes and personnel documents in HR electronic files
  • File physical HR records in HR filing cabinet
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies
  • Proof reading and editing profiles
  • Liaise with line managers recording HR issues
  • Scanning and emailing HR documents
  • Coordinate Induction appointments
  • Create interview appointments
  • Creating job advertisements
  • Phone screen applicants    
  • Assist to develop performance evaluation forms
  • Assist to develop orientation guide for new hire    
  • Data Entry and general administration
  • Any extra duties the HR Consultant requires
  • Report to the Sydney HR consultant
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for new and existing employees
  • Send off training invoices to finance and liaise with them about getting it approved

Administration Duties:

  • Provide administration support
  • Office Management
  • Run errands
  • Management of the HR diary
  • Booking appointment
  • Providing any support necessary within the office
  • When required – reception duties

General Duties:

  • Perform any other duty that may be assigned to you by the HR / Admin Officer

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree in HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (MAJOR)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Personable able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people Strong customer service skills
  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
  • Ability to correctly make decisions involving employee issues/ problems
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment.
  • Detail oriented Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail
