Job Description

A multinational company operating in the Oil and Gas industry is looking for the following qualified candidates to work in their Ghana Office: ACCOUNTANT – ACC-GH-01

SCOPE

The job holder will work closely with the Finance Manager Ghana and maintain a good relationship with the Ghana Revenue Authority(GRA), local tax advisors and other Company group international offices.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administration of all taxes including VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax etc
Reconciliation of Tax Accounts
Filing of Directors & Expatriates annual tax returns
Ensure compliance with all statutory tax obligations
To assist in the accounting and financial reporting for Ghana operation
Ensure reconciliation of key vendor balances and related party balances
Deputise for the finance manager when required
Maintain a good relationship with all the relevant authorities and regulatory bodies

Required Skills or Experience

1st degree in business related studies
Fully qualified accountant (ICA, CPA, ACCA or its equivalent)
Part-qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana)
Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience of leadership within a tax function in a multinational (preferred), or a tax advisory firm
Wide experience and knowledge of taxation within Ghana
Wide experience and knowledge of taxation within Ghana’s Oil & Gas industry would be plus
Application of tax knowledge to commercial agenda
Sound judgement regarding acceptable levels of tax risk
Experience with Microsoft Office Products, particularly excel
Experience with established accounting systems / software
Focused on quality deliverables
