A multinational company operating in the Oil and Gas industry is looking for the following qualified candidates to work in their Ghana Office: IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST – IT-GH-01

SCOPE

• To provide comprehensive IT support to the West Africa team.
• Role is based in Ghana with frequent travel offshore and other regional offshore and office locations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Act as the first line support for all IT related issues for West Africa
• Assist in answering calls from end users, coaching on system applications, troubleshoot and resolve routine computer, printer requests; keeps end users updated on status of requests
• Address end users promptly, courteously and professional manner
• Escalate non-routine issues to next level of support
• Document and maintain records of end user issues, changes, service requests, vendor communications, and hardware/software orders and shipping
• Assist co-workers with computer systems operations including setup of new computers, maintenance; hardware/software installation
• Liaise with IT Coordinator/Procurement to assist with hardware purchasing, shipping, and receiving;
• Will travel to other sites to address IT requests when needed

Required Skills or Experience

• Help desk support experience
• Experience in network cabling and patching
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
