Job Description

JHK Investments Limited is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Accounts and Administration Officer. The position reports to the Managing Director.   

Job Summary:

  • Undertake the day to day Finance and Administrative duties under the leadership of the Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Accounts and Administration Officer include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of a financial management system that responds adequately to the requirements of JHK Investments Ltd.
  • Prepare and maintain all the standard books of accounts to a quality as shall be prescribed by your line manager or any other body designated to determine such.
  • Prepare and maintain management accounts to a quality as shall be prescribed by your line manager or any other body designated to determine such.
  • Liaise and work with any consultants and auditors, appointed by the Board of Directors, for the purpose of ensuring sound financial management and reporting practices.
  • Maintain such relationships with our bankers and other financial stakeholders as to inure to the benefit of JHK Investments Ltd.
  • Be responsible for the smooth running of the office in accordance with best practice.
  • Assist your line manager with the maintenance of appropriate HR standards, protocols and records.
  • Assist the Director, Technical Services and his unit with procurement of construction supplies and the maintenance of appropriate documentation associated with this activity;
  • Assist your line manager in the maintenance and servicing of client accounts.
  • Supervise any staff members as may be directed.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by your line manager.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A good first degree in Business Administration, Accounting or its equivalent.
  • Part-professional qualification in Accounting, from a recognized professional Accounting bodies i.e. ICA, ACCA.
  • Significant knowledge and working experience in Accounting/Financial Management.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, create and track budgets, and maintain financial management systems
  • Good knowledge of the Office package (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of Financial Management practices in Ghana.
  • Knowledge of Office Processes and Procedures.
  • At least 1 - 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Report writing, facilitation, presentation skills required.
  • Willingness to work longer hours, when required
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills – oral and written
  • Negotiation and Influencing skills
  • Ability to work well with people (company stakeholders) at all levels
  • High Integrity  
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused
  • People management skills/experience will be helpful
