Job Description

The role will incorporate a variety of areas including HR responsibilities, training staff and marketing initiative to ensure optimum profit.The BDM like many other managers in the leisure industry is responsible for promoting effective visitor services and ensuring that business objectives are achieved. He/she will be responsible for the overall supervision of the operations of the organization.

Job Summary

  • The BDM is responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day control of activities
  • Develop new business by generating quality leads, making presentations, negotiating and closing sales
  • Provide effective account management of assigned portfolios to guarantee repeat sales, mitigate churn and assure revenue
  • Collection and collation of data/ marketing intelligence to support business growth initiative.
  • Sharing customer feedback and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and send the daily, weekly and monthly reports, sales projections and sales activity schedules
  • Provide sales performance data to support management decision-making
  • Maintain effective working relationships with staff and external contractors
  • Develop an understanding of the local market including customers’ expectations.
  • Complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Recruits, trains, appraise and supervise staff.
  • Ensures delivery of the best leisure atmosphere by providing an environment that is clean, safe and in good repair.
  • Upholds the company’s business practice standard and follow all established company policies and procedures.
  • Accurately operates and monitors the computer system for daily operation.
  • Handles press and public relation (PR) activities.
  • Carries out any other duties which can reasonably be expected of such a position in the provision of effective service to our customers.
  • Assist with other functions and performs other duties as instructed by the General Manager/Managing Director

Required Skills or Experience

  • A degree or recognized professional qualification in a business or social science related field
  • At least 4 years’ sales and business development experience, preferably in an FMCG, financial and Insurance services.
  • At least 2 years driving experience
  • Should be willing to relocate to Kumasi
