Job Description

• Present menus, and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request; take orders from customers for drinks and other beverages
• Escort customers to their tables and take orders
• Write orders on order slips, memorise orders, or enter orders into computers for staff
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying the service and take action to correct any problems
• Serve drinks, desserts, brewing coffee, prepare hot, cold, mixed drinks for customers, suggest wine selections and inform them of daily specials
• Prepare total costs and sales taxes for clients 
• Inform customers of daily specials, 
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee,drinks, tableware and linens

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of one year work experience in similar field
• Active listening and Learning
• Service oriented
• Critical thinking and time management
• Communicating with supervisors, peers or subordinates
• Knowledge of principles for providing customer and personal services. These include customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
