A reputable company in Ghana is looking for a GENERAL MANAGER.

Job Responsibilities
Obtains profit contribution by managing staff; establishing and accomplishing business objectives. 

Duties 
The General Manager must: 

• Oversee daily operations of the organization. 
• Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business. 
• Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports. For example, the sales team might track new revenue, total revenue, new customer capture, average deal size, and deal pipeline size to assess progress toward company revenue targets. 
• Provide direct management of key functional managers in the company. 
• Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives. 
• Ensure overall delivery and quality of the GBC's offerings to customers. 
• Engage in key or targeted customer activities. 
• Oversee key hiring and talent development programs. 
• Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent. 
• Communicate strategy and results to GBC employees. 
• Report key results to company directors. 
• Engage with company directors in broader organizational strategic planning. 

Required Skills or Experience

• Considerable work experience, at least 5-10 years, is a must. 
• Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in business management or a related field. 
• Candidates who work their way up after many years of lower-level managerial positions will be considered. 
• Given the broad base of expertise and knowledge required for success in the role, candidates with advanced degrees with emphasis on a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree is a plus.
