Job Description

Our client, an international manufacturing company is currently looking for a highly efficient and proactive Forklift Driver to help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE
The position requires a dynamic and qualified proactive Forklift Driver to operate forklifts and other hand trucks.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect load from the correct location for loading vehicles
• Check stability of slings
• Ensure sling is not broken
• Sling to be repacked if broken
• Ensure all slings are properly loaded and report any slings that won’t fit onto the vehicle to the Assistant Manager: Tiger Brands Beverages
• Pre-stage all stock when cages are getting full, to free up cage space
• Complete daily checklist of forklifts at the beginning of the shift
• Assist general workers with tarping/de-tarping trucks
• Ensure workstation is clean at all times
• Proactively monitor the yard to ensure cleanliness
• Ensure forklift is refuelled at the start of each day
• Ensure that the Forklift is clean on a daily basis
• Perform additional duties as and when assigned.
• Develop projects that will enhance operations.
• Ensure that all the above activities are conducted safely
• Accurate and efficient loading of slings onto vehicles
• Clean and neat workstation and forklift at all times

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• HND from any recognized tertiary institution.
• Three years’ experience driving Forklifts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Communication Skills- Must be able to express himself in English
• Satisfactory completion of a certified forklift training program.
• Must be physically robust
• Have basic literacy and numerical skills.
• Can maintain inventory and counts of supplies
• Advocate of safety culture at the workplace
• Must possess a valid driving license to drive Forklifts.
