Introduction
Our client GKV Investment is the producer of the authentic virgin coconut oil ‘Ava’. The oil is extracted from carefully selected matured coconuts harvested from the Ghanaian certified organic coconut farms.  Ava coconut oil is a cold pressed premium oil that contains all the goodness of coconut in its purest form. The factory is in Sekondi-Takoradi (https://www.avacoconutoil.com/).  

To support its operations in Ghana, the company is seeking to hire a Sales Representative.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate shall inter-alia be responsible for the following:

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell Ava products to existing and prospective customers
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Develop and maintain a customer database and follow up on new and existing clients
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Plan and conduct direct marketing activities and assist in administration of   promotional materials including participation in sales events
  • Develop and make presentations to educate current and potential clients on Ava products
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Any other duties

Required Skills or Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with sales practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • BA Marketing degree or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or service industry with at least 2 or more years work experience
  • A licensed driver
