Total Family Health Organisation (TFHO) is an indigenous Ghanaian social marketing organization duly registered in accordance with the laws of Ghana on February 1, 2017. We work to improve the health of people living in Ghana primarily through implementation of innovative evidence-based interventions that increases access to and utilization of health products and services in a measurable and impactful way. Our key intervention areas include Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Maternal, New-born, and Child Health (RMNCH), communicable and noncommunicable diseases, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), nutrition, and malaria. We utilize our deep insight and skills in Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) and social marketing to promote positive social and behavior change among individuals and communities.

Job Description

Background
TFHO is a local Social Marketing Organisation that promotes healthier lives by providing quality health commodities.
TFHO currently focuses on socially marketed family planning commodities, Water Sanitation and Hygiene commodities, as well Maternal and Child Health commodities.

Why the Need
As part of plans to create awareness of and demand for our socially marketed commodities, TFHO will communicate via mass media to reach out to target consumers. The team is looking for a small Media Buying Agency that will be responsible for buying Media space and Outdoor/Billboard space on behalf of TFHO

Engagement Duration: 12 months

Key responsibilities

  • Purchasing media space/airtime and Outdoor space on behalf of TFHO
  • Following media and outdoor plans to make sure the target audience is kept in mind
  • Make sure the value proposition of all bought space is strong
  • Analyze and report on campaign effectiveness

Engagement Terms

  • TFHO shall make a part payment of 50% of total amount after delivery of initial strategy, and a final payment of 50% will be made after approval is given by the TFHO team.

Required Skills or Experience

Key competencies required

  • Be numerate, commercially astute and effective negotiators
  • Be organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Be well informed about the media and outdoor advertising landscape in Ghana, and current trends - new media opportunities and media research etc
  • Negotiate with media and outdoor owners to get the best rates, coverage and frequency of exposure for TFHO
  • Work closely with planning teams to ensure that media plans and outdoor plans are feasible
  • Communicate the approved media plan accurately to the TFHO and the creative agency to ensure it is implemented and transmitted effectively, on time and on budget
  • Keep track and reporting back on industry developments relevant to TFHO, including the activity of key competitors and new media opportunities
  • Manage bookings with media owners
  • Prepare costing and spending reports for TFHO
  • Monitor and manage budgets across campaigns
  • Analyse campaign effectiveness
