Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the position of FINANCE OFFICER. 

Job Description & Duties:

• The Finance Officer is the Head of the Finance Office and shall be responsible, under the Vice-Chancellor, for the financial administration of the University. 

Terms of Appointment: The Appointment shall be full time and a contract of four (4) years in a first instance and subject to renewal based on performance.

Required Skills or Experience

Applicants:

• Must be a distinguished professional with capacity to motivate, manage and direct staff. 
• Must be circumspect and above reproach. 
• Must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership qualities and organisational skills and high level of Computer Literacy. 
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Must be a Member of a recognised professional Accountancy/ Auditing Body (ICA/ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA,etc). A Master's Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance would be an advantage. 
• Must have served in a University or analogous institution for at least ten (10) years. Or 
• A minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience in a reputable and recognised practicing firm, industry, commerce and/or public service.
