Job Description

CALL FOR CVs: POWER AFRICA, USAID TASK ORDER FOR WEST AFRICA

RTI International is requesting applications for technical and operational roles for the USAID-funded Power Africa Task Order. This Task Order intends to expand affordable and reliable electricity services in West Africa, with the ultimate goal of supporting development priorities, including inclusive economic growth, security, and improved health and education outcomes.

Depending on the position, work locations will be based in the following: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. We are recruiting bilingual (French/English) candidates for the following role: Chief of Party

Profile

  • Chief of Party will be responsible for the overall management of the activity and in charge of developing the various interventions that result in the desired outcomes and impact.
  • In addition, the COP will lead his/her team and provide overall supervision on the implementation of the interventions.
  • This position will be located in Accra, Ghana. 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s degree in engineering or another relevant field with 14 years of experience in technical and management roles on similar energy projects.
  • Experience working on USAID-funded energy projects in Africa and ensuring cost control, compliance, and accessibility.
