Job Description

CALL FOR CVs: POWER AFRICA, USAID TASK ORDER FOR WEST AFRICA

RTI International is requesting applications for technical and operational roles for the USAID-funded Power Africa Task Order. This Task Order intends to expand affordable and reliable electricity services in West Africa, with the ultimate goal of supporting development priorities, including inclusive economic growth, security, and improved health and education outcomes.

Depending on the position, work locations will be based in the following: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. We are recruiting bilingual (French/English) candidates for the following role: Technical Advisors

Profile

  • Technical Advisors will be responsible for leading country-specific technical activities for the project in their assigned country (1 full-time technical advisor in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire; 1 full-time technical advisor in Dakar, Senegal; 1 full-time technical advisor in Conakry, Guinea; and 2 full-time embedded advisors in Ghana’s Ministry of Energy.) 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s degree in engineering or another relevant field
  • 6 years of experience in their specific domain in West Africa.
  • Experience on USAID projects preferred. We are looking for experts in: Solar Kits, Rural Electrification, Energy Sector Reform, Off-Grid Solutions, Renewable Energy, Energy Financing, Enabling Environment, Legal & Regulatory.
