Job Description

Our client, leading paint manufacturing company is looking to hire a result driven and highly efficient Francophone Sales Manager to help with their operations in Francophone countries.

ROLE PROFILE:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning the development and growth of the Company’s Customer bases in Francophone Countries, namely: Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Niger and Cameroun.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan the development and growth of the Company’s Customer bases in Francophone Countries, namely: Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Niger and Cameroun.
  • Prepare a Sales & Marketing Strategy to penetrate new markets in francophone countries like Guinea Conakry, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
  • To implement the developed growth strategies with the assistance of Company’s marketing teams in the various countries to achieve high visibility of our products on the market.
  • Supervise the recruitment of Commission based field Salesmen to monitor visibility of Company’ products and ensure product availability at all times at the various stages of the value chain.
  • Receive fortnightly reports, including products’ visibility at points of sale, from sales teams in the field for appraisal.
  • Receive e-mail reports from sales teams for reviewing of their performance relative to set targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate on-going contracts.
  • Prepare monthly reports (Excel and Word) for Management attention.
  • Implement internal controls related to sales activities.
  • Conduct market surveys and SWOT Analysis for new product lines and prepare Business Plans for same.
  • Submit to Management for approval, budgets for new product launch etc.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION

  • Degree in Sales, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Master degree in Sales, Business Administration or related discipline an added advantage

 EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 15-20 years post qualification experience, part of which must have been in a Senior Managerial position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a National sales manager
  • Experience working in FMCG environment
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed

  • Ability to meet sales targets
  • Retention and growth of existing client relationships
  • New businesses won
  • Client satisfaction
  • Profitability of contracts negotiated
  • Ability to provide Management with timely and accurate reports on the performance of the Sales department.
