Position

The Volunteer Relations Officer is responsible to coordinate the volunteer team of the Children’s Department, process new volunteers and maintain records of volunteer information.

Job Specifications

• Generate a monthly report of available volunteers
• Follow-up on any scheduled volunteer who was absent without communication
• Send birthday messages to all volunteers on the group chats and prepare gifts
• Maintain group WhatsApp chats and mailing lists with current volunteer updates
• Process volunteer ID cards
• Register volunteers for trainings, retreats and additional service events
• Send application form and handbook to prospective volunteers
• Process volunteer application forms
• Schedule orientation meetings for new volunteers
• Take volunteer attendance on the weekends
• Keep records of new mothers in the nursery
• Prepare for discipleship classes and baptisms for children
• Perform any other duties assigned by the children’s pastor

Person Specifications

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
• Must have record-keeping skills
• Must be diligent in following laid-down procedure
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have excellent command of the English language

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Management or related field
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a related field
• Must be familiar with MS Office Suite
• Experience working in a church setting is preferable [esp. in Children’s Department]
