Position Summary

Are you a results-driven, quick-on-your-feet top student who loves digital and brainstorming creative content ideas just as much as you enjoy organising content calendars to ensure that each deadline is hit on time?

The Content Marketing Intern is a crucial role that will help the day to day production of SEO blogs for our clients. This person is the glue that holds us together and the fuel the keeps our engine running. From editing and content calendar management to brainstorming and data analysis, the Content Marketing Intern needs to be equal parts organised, analytical and creative.

Responsibilities/Qualifications/Essential Job Functions

Reporting to our Director, the Content Marketing Intern will help lead important areas of Client Content Operations and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Own the photo repository, downloading monthly photo library to multiple verticals and client folders.
  • Staging blog posts in content management systems, including inputting relevant images for Director review according to the content calendar.
  • Editing long-form blog posts for grammar, style, tone and SEO best practices.
  • Communicate with a remote team of writers/editors on editing and submission deadlines.
  • Lead content brainstorming/writing pitches, finding content gaps and opportunities
  • Lead editorial calendar creation/management 
  • Assist with creating weekly and monthly content reports for client campaigns
  • Bring new ideas to the table about how to improve our internal production process.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing is preferred but motivation and passion is really what we look for
  • Demonstrated interest blogging, digital media 
  • Excellent writing and proofing skill
  • Exceptionally detail oriented
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and consultative selling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (and Google Apps)
  • Strong computer and internet use experience
