Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the following positions at Ghana Technology University College (formerly Ghana Telecom University College)

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Senior Network/Systems Administrator is the focal person in charge of the University's computing and network infrastructure.
• The person will design, install, configure, optimise, and maintain the integrity of the school's network systems and equipment, including servers, switches, routers, voice and video systems.
• The position also involves evaluating present systems and recommending system expansion, modification and replacement, as well as developing long-term strategic and capacity utilisation plans.

Required Skills or Experience

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields. Possession of valid industry certification such as CCNA, CCIE, MSCE etc. is an added advantage.
• Experience with complex multi-system platforms and vendors, specifically Windows server & Linux distributions. Experience coordinating multi-system and computing environments in independent computing facilities.
• Experience in the physical installation, update, and maintenance of client-server hardware, including data centre implementations.
