Job Description

  • Department: Marketing
  • Location: Group Office

 

Job Purpose

  • To provide support to the Group Marketing Manager in identifying diverse global business opportunities with profit margins and strategic impact on medium to long-term success of the Group Company and its subsidiaries.
  • To support the Group Head, Marketing in revenue-generation of the Group business by identifying and acquiring new projects, profitable partnerships and new business lines across diverse industries. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support subsidiaries that do not have full-fledged marketing teams to drive marketing strategies.
  • Assist the Group Head, Marketing to manage and retain relationships with existing clients or customers of subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for lobbying of increased business volumes with existing clients and new business with potential clients.
  • Write business proposals.
  • Negotiate business with potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
  • Undertake research on business opportunities and viable income streams for subsidiaries.
  • Observe and conduct various industry trends to support business growth.
  • Draft business contracts.
  • Promote Group Advantage among subsidiaries.

Required Skills or Experience

The prospective candidate must possess the following skills and competencies:

Educational and Work Experience

  • Minimum of  first degree in marketing, finance, project management and/or business administration 
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in sales & marketing, business development or project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in handling profitable transactions will be a plus
  • Professional qualification in relevant field will be an added advantage

Technical Competencies

  • Ability to initiate business development  strategies 
  • Proactively develop and improve products and services 
  • Understand clients' needs 
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and clients.

Personality Competencies

  • Good negotiation skills 
  • Analytical and innovative
  • Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and deal closing skills 
  • Excellent  presentation, excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong business acumen and a record of confidence dealing with managers through to decision makers 
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • Results-oriented
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office suite
