Job Description

A Reputable Asset/Fund Management Company is seeking a qualified, experienced, competent, and motivated individual for immediate employment as SENIOR OFFICER, ASSET MANAGEMENT

Asset Management and Research

  • Assist in the actual management of the Company’s portfolio and ensuring that returns on Assets under Management (AUM) are optimized.
  • Undertake  in weekly research and writing of a financial article for publication in selected national daily print media
  • Prepare reports on fund transactions and reconciling daily cash accounts in collaboration with the Accounts & Finance Department
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual fund management reports for regulators (SEC & NPRA) and corporate clients
  • Provide client with critical information to make decisions on financial and investment opportunities
  • Engage in presentations and other marketing activities in promoting the product and services of the Company

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum academic qualification of BSc. Administration (Accounting or Banking) Bachelor of Commence, BA Economics or equivalence degree in Business.
  • Completion of GSE Courses is a must
  • MBA in Finance, Professional Qualification (Final Level) with ICA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent, would be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience
  • Good practical knowledge of a Fund Management/Banking Software and/or a working knowledge of accounting software would be an added advantage.
  • Competence in MS Office Package, especially Excel for financial reporting and modelling is a must.
  • Must have strong research and analytical skills
  • Good presentation and writing skills
  • Must be able to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Strong business sense, attention to detail and an innate desire to grow professionally.
  • Good knowledge in general administration
  • Ability to be multi-tasked in a busy, fast paced environment
  • High ethics and Integrity 
  • Strong customer service acumen
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and capable of working long hours
