The National Banking College is a unique resource centre established in 1994 for training senior banking personnel and financial services practitioners in the country and within the West African sub-region. The College is an autonomous body limited by guarantee under the auspices of the Bank of Ghana and the Banks in Ghana. 

The College executes its mandate of training, research and consultancy, promoting and conducting research in matters pertaining to improvements in banking operations and processes.It provides consultancy services to banks and other institutions or individuals on matters bearing on productivity in banking services.

Job Description

The college in its bid to enhance its human capital base is hereby inviting interested persons to apply for the above role.
 
Job Role and Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate a high-level strategy and training development portfolio. 
  • Coordinate the implementation of Quality Assurance on Faculty Performance and the Development of Governance programs for certification. 
  • Manage team of facilitators within the faculty. 
  • Monitor and control the quality of teaching programs with particular attention to course content. 
  • Work with the Director of Studies to keep the College updated on industry achievements and weaknesses. 
  • Support the Business Development Unit with proposals on further training needs in the Banking/Financial sector in the areas of Governance, corporate management, leadership programs and,other relevent soft skills.
  • Preparation of budgets. 
  • Advise the Director of Studies in all training and development matters.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of a master's degree in Governance, MBA or any other related field. 
  • Must have held senior management position for minimum of (5) years. 
  • Must be a practitioner with experience in banking sector, local/international or both. 
  • Must be in tune with emerging trends in Governance structures, rules and regulation in banking. 
  • Demonstrated exposure and passion for learning and development in the banking industry. 
  • Must have varied experience in Management, Banking and training. 
  • Must show passion for talent development. 
Competencies
As the Head of the Governance and Leadership Faculty you must be seen to have the following: 
  • Ability to consult with Senior Management and Directors on Governance & leadership policies. 
  • Expertise in researching on trends in areas of Governance and leadership in the Banking and Financial sector. 
  • Monitor feedback from participants and change dynamics of the affected program for better delivery performance. 
  • Organisational & Project management skills to implement strategic changes as required.
