Job Description

• Performs skilled work on blending machine, stitching machine, hoppers and conveyors.
• Assembles, installs, tests and maintains production equipment, tools and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnoses malfunctioning production equipment, tools and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspects mechanical/production equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with required standards
• Directs and supervises contract/casual workers to install, maintain or repair production equipment.
• Develops and submits other office related duties such as maintaining records, filing, preparing reports and ordering of spare parts and equipment
• Performs any other duties assigned 

Required Skills or Experience

• HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized Technical Institution
• Minimum experience of 3 years in Mechanical installation and maintenance works

Technical

• In-depth knowledge and experience in mechanical installations and maintenance
• Clear understanding of Plant installations and maintenance
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions
• Effective record management skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
• Writing Skills, Reporting Skills, Time Management & Presentation Skills
• Good analytical skills, detail handling, problem solving and practical learning
• Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to details
