Job Description

• Advise on the selection, purchase, and supervise the delivery of Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) orders to clients
• Manage Rock Tool Inventory and track all new issues, discards and losses.
• Utilize the Rock Tools Reporting System to monitor and report on tools performance.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical recommendations and on the utilization of our brand of Rock Drilling Tools (RDT)
• Analyse and discuss with end-users the performance, condition and/or failures of drilling consumables supplied to clients and report to your employer’s designated representative
• Complete accurate time records as well as produce and present daily, weekly and monthly performance reports to the client’s representative and your employer’s designated representative
• Assist in training the client’s employees on the application/maintenance of our brand of RDT as may be required
• Report occurrences that may indicate improper usage or selection of rock tools by operators
• Build a sound relationship with end-users on site.
• Always be aware of our competitor's RDT supply performance and and other relevant activities
• Performs other relevant duties as may be assigned by management

Required Skills or Experience

• University degree with relevant technical experience
• Further relevant technical qualification is a plus
• Major Requirement: Application knowledge and experience in Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) in the mining industry
• Experience in the mining industry is a definite asset
• Ability to plan your own work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
• Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes in relation to product reconditioning
• Knowledge of rock drill operation
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and email
