A performance driven Non-Bank Financial Institution seek to recruit an experienced, knowledgeable and passion driven young individual for the role of Finance Manager

REPORTS TO: CEO

JOB PUROSE
Responsible for the Finance Function of the Company, including all Financial Reporting and Treasury duties. Preparation of Financial and other regulatory reports to management and Regulatory agencies. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Reporting
• Treasury Management
• Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
• Account/bank reconciliations
• Review and process expense reports
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Responsible for financial documents preparation (trial balances, balances, balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in financial position). 
• Responsible for budget preparations and forecasts.
• Manage tax issues, PAYE, WHT, VAT (follow-up of due taxes, preparation of payments, follow-up of WHT receipts).
• Responsible for the preparation of BOG regulatory returns.
• Identification and timely resolution of discrepancies in accounts.

Required Skills or Experience

• University degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
• Must be a qualified ACCA, CA or CIMA with relevant experience of at least 4 years 
• Familiar with procedures and controls
• Strong knowledge and understanding of audit and statutory requirements  
• Strong Knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Competence in using Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; Powerpoint); 
• Competence in Using Accounting Software
• Knowledge of local laws regarding finances and taxation
