Job Description

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Projecting movies in the Cinema Halls
• General booth upkeep and general maintenance of digital projector (NEC NC800C), servers (Doremi DCP-2000 & LANsat) and sound equipment; scheduling for other projection staff and covers.

Required Skills or Experience

Advanced technical skills and experience as a projectionist in digital cinema.

• Ability to handle and project from a wide array of digital formats (Blu-ray, ProRes, PowerPoint presentations etc.) as well as occasionally HDCam, DigiBeta etc.
• Ability to create DCPs from materials provided by distributors and/or programming partners.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems under pressure.
• High organisational and communication skills.
• Calm, friendly and professional demeanour working in an often high-stress environment.
• Professional and easy-going attitude in working with outside clients including filmmakers, production houses, distributors.
