Job Description

Our client, a multinational company is looking to hire a competent and proactive AUDITOR to help with their day to day operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate’s core duty will be to analyse and interpret data, assess risk and audit methodologies. He/she must be able to interact positively and communicate with all levels of staff and management. The individual must be self-motivated and team oriented, able to work independently and committed to high quality working standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a project leader to develop team members, assign work, and monitor responsibilities.
• Evaluate systems and procedures and develop improvements.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
•  Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
• Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
• Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
• Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
• Examine records and engage workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 3 - 4 years’ experience in Internal/Operational Audit/Risk Management (Industry experience within the Shipping or Cost & Freight, alternatively Manufacturing, or Telecom).

REQUIREMENT

• In depth understanding of risk assessment, control analysis and audit methodologies including internal control concepts.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Ability to interact positively and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to work independently to execute and manage multiple projects at one time and conflicting priorities.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Available to Travel to various African Countries.
