Job Description

Our client, an international real estate company is currently looking for an efficient and a proactive CHIEF ACCOUNTANT to help with their operations in Ghana.

Role Profile

The successful candidate’s core duty will be to prepare period financial statements and liaise with the relevant agencies, manage taxation issues and lead on completion of annual accounts.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and review the petty cash of the site accountant.
• Review the accounting entries daily.
• Review stock movement on site.
• Review and approve purchase orders.
• Review and approve the movement of cash and checks.
• Prepare the monthly trial balance.
• Prepare periodic financial statements.
• Follow-up accounts of suppliers and contractors.
• Follow up on customer accounts.
• Control and maintain of all ledgers (General ledger, Purchase accounting records, Cash Book)
• Oversee completion of all statutory accounts including liaison with the auditors and annual returns.

Required Skills or Experience

Education / Experience

• Degree in accounting or similar discipline.
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
