Job Description

Purpose of the Job

  • The primary objective of this position is to assist the Project Manager(s) in coordinating the day-to-day activities of active construction projects, in consultation with Project Management.
  • The Project Coordinator is also responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) to ensure compliance to specification

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Direct and Manage Project Execution
  • Monitor and Control Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, Health & Safety issues
  • Member of Change Control System
  • Coordinate with Civil and Electrical supervisors and follow up the progress of work
  • Received Daily Site Activity report from sites
  • Coordinate delivery of materials to site and off-site
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment and tools
  • Studying specs and explain to supervisors how to execute it
  • Updating of Project Manager & Management
  • Solving problems of complex nature encountered during installation with coordination with Site supervisors, Electrical Supervisors, Riggers,etc…
  • Manage per diem as and when required
  • Receiving weekly reports of inventory from warehouse manager

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend technical  site survey visit to sites, with Netis  site controller and customer personnelto assess estimated works and to collate all relevant data for the works.
  • Assist the Netis AutoCAD Designers in the preparation of design drawings and documentation.
  • Identify civil  work  component to  enable  the Netis  Quantity  surveyor  to  developappropriate cost estimates
  • Become familiar with all customer and Netis specification relating to the site quality.
  • Conduct full-time supervision of on-going site works
  • Keep a legible daily of work progress, including strict recording of variation orders and force major events.  
  • Ensure that all personnel on-site adhere to Netis Site safety requirement
  • Keep all activities on-site within the laws of Ghana
  • Facilitate a cooperative and friendly relationship between Netis and its customers and sub
  • Contractors on-site at all times
  • Punctuality at all meetings    

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Monitor the work of Project staff on and off site
  • Manage supervisors for effective performance
  • Maintenance of tools and logistics.
  • Budget management and control.

Key Performance Indicator

  • Site surveys are conducted on time and efficiently-all information is correct and
  • Complete Site works are supervised at all times and the work is progressing on schedule
  • Minimum minor casualties, no fatalities, no dangers to the public
  • Site are delivered to the required qualities
  • Materials, assets, tools and machinery of Netis it customers are preserved
  • Documentations are correct and presented promptly. 
  • The site controller and construction manager are kept, up to date and receive regular reports
  • Good attitude towards the work, the company and towards the customers and sub-contractors.

General Duties

  • Any other work assigned by Management

Required Skills or Experience

  • Higher National Diploma in Engineering/Construction/Architecture
  • Driving License.
  • Three years experience in Construction and Civil Engineering in a similar industry
