- OPERATIONS MANAGER reporting to MANAGING DIRECTOR

Description
Book-Keeping
Responsible for:
- approving all purchases by shop managers
- verifying and checking of all purchases by the shop managers
- the generating of key reports, including monthly P&L statements and shop statistics, analyzing of the data and providing this to shops and management
- all reporting to Directors monthly including cashbooks, salaries, provisions and accruals, prepaid expenses, petty cashes
- all income tax, withholding tax, provisional tax and PAYE tax submission being on time & accurate
- Must ensure tax records are properly filed for safe keeping
- the safekeeping of all company assets including all invoices and expense authorizations, cheque books and petty cash vouchers
- keeping accurate accounting records which appropriately reflect the company’s operations in line with accounting principles
Administration
Responsible for:
- ensuring adherence of all internal policies and procedures
- submitting monthly compliance (VIVO SCORECARD) to management
- the daily review of activities at each shop; by playing back video footage; to check for unacceptable activities like stealing, poor customer service etc.
- monthly audits and stock taking
- maintaining the head office petty cash float
- all relationships at the company’s bank, suppliers, and partners
- the downloading of bank statements on a daily basis to monitor for fraud and to ensure sufficient cash flows to run the business
- reconciling the bank accounts every week and providing the necessary information to the Directors
- all other finance related matters which may arise relating to any of the above, and those arising due to the needs of our growing business
- any additional tasks instructed by Management
Required Skills or Experience
- Higher National Diploma or Degree
- Additional tertiary education would be advantageous
- Extremely proficient in MS office and e-mail
