Julinsco Hospitality is a Company that offers food, drinks, conference hall and entertainment space for programs. Julinsco Enterprise has 10 staff and is 2 years old. Julinsco Hospitality services is located in the Kassena Nankana West District in the Upper East Region and adjacent the Paga Chief Crocodile Pond. Julinsco Enterprise is in the Paga motel that is owned by the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly and managed by Julinsco Enterprise.

Job Description

We are looking for a chef to oversee the operations of our Kitchen

Responsibilities include maintaining the Motel’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.

Job Overview

  • Developed recipes and menus by applying understanding of market demand and culinary trends.
  • Respond to dietary concerns and food allergies, creating dishes to meet customer needs and palates.
  • Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.
  • Work with the General Manager to create kitchen staff schedules, work assignments and determine appropriate compensation rates.
  • Supervise the evaluation inventory levels on regular basis and place orders to restock items before supplies ran out.
  • Hire, train and manage all kitchen staff, including employee development, issuing disciplinary action and conducting performance reviews.
  • Collaborated with kitchen staff in production or modification of menus and selections.
  • Maintain a well-organized mise en place to keep work efficient and consistent.
  • Keep inventory of food, ingredient and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders.
  • Align seasonal plans with ingredient availability and key area events for optimal promotions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to source desired recipe ingredients while maintaining tight cost controls.
  • Plan promotional menu additions based on seasonal pricing and product availability.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND
  • 3 years or more work experience as a Chef
  • Good stock management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets
