We also develop and supply Kodak Alaris document capture solutions for business automation processes and assist organizations with digital transformation processes.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

General description

• The Technical Support Officer Scanners (TOS) will be responsible for the sales, installation, maintenance and repairs of our scanning solutions in West Africa. It’s a diverse job for which a combination of technical and commercial skills is required. The TOS will be working from the Think Data office in Accra, with regular travel to the Lagos office and other international travel.

Duties and responsibilities

• Installation of scanning solutions (software applications and document scanners) on customer sites;
• Training of end-users in how to deploy scanning solutions;
• Maintenance and repairs on scanners as advised by our partners and in close collaboration with the partners Technical Support Team;
• Offering remote support to customers when needed;
• Assisting technicians on the project site with the maintenance and repairs of scanners, making sure they are all running without problems;
• Identifying opportunities for the sales of scanning solutions in Ghana and West Africa. Sales targets and bonuses apply;
• Maintaining good business relations with existing customers.

Required Skills or Experience

• Background in electrical engineering (a must);
• Proficient with Windows operating systems, current and past;
• Familiarity with C++ programming (preferable);
• High mechanical aptitude;
• Being able to prepare a presentation and do live demonstrations of our products;
• Willingness to travel/passport;
• Pro-active;
• Being able to work independently and in a team;
• Good commercial skills;
• Fluent in English, French is an advantage.
