Job Description

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Introduce new equipment/products to existing clients, and the range of products we deal in to prospective clients in the mining industry from a technical perspective.
  • Hunt for new clients who might benefit from the company’s products or services.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through interpreting and managing their requirements.
  • Persuade existing and prospective clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
  • Provide technical inputs to management during the negotiation of tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Services Engineer to work on after-sales support services and provide technical back-up as required.
  • Team up with the Technical Services Engineer to arrange and carry out product training.
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs.

WHAT WE ALSO  EXPECT FROM THE TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER

  • As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will split your time between the office and visiting clients.
  • Besides visiting existing customers, you will be required to initiate first-time visits to prospective clients and follow-up visits.
  • You will undertake pre-sale and after-sale visits to existing and prospective clients in the mining industry in Ghana, and the West African sub-region.

WORK EXPERIENCE
