Job Description

A reputable financial institution in Ghana is looking for qualified persons to join its Credit team

Job Summary

  • The Credit Officer will be responsible for reviewing loan applications, Appraisals and completing other administrative task before submitting all documentation to the approval authorities
  • He / She will be responsible for loan disbursements, monitoring and recovery.

Responsibilities
 

  • Prospect for new clients
  • Review loan requests
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and risks
  • Maintain updated records of loan applications
  • Follow up with clients about loan renewals
  • Monitor progress of existing loans
  • Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Calling potential customers to explain company products and encourage purchases.
  • Answering customer’s questions and escalating complex issues to the relevant departments as needed.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management and Commerce
  • A professional qualification would be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification and work experience in a financial institution

Required Competencies

  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to drive with valid license will be an added advantage
