Job Description

Reports To: COO

Job Purpose
To increase sales, grow and expand the business reach of the company by forming strategic partnerships with financial institutions, general billers, remittances, insurance and pension companies in all the districts in Ghana.

Role Description

Principal Accountabilities

  • Identifies, networks and develops strategic partnerships with major banks, microfinance, remittance and billing institutions in the country and forms strategic partnerships with them.
  • Manages the Business Development team and creates strategies for rapid revenue growth month on month.
  • Researches, studies, analyzes and evaluates current performance of the business and looks for opportunities for sales and financial growth.
  • Attends industry conferences and events to scout for prospective clients and identify and network with decision makers in the prospective client’s company.
  • Plans and develops specific sales and marketing materials and activities to meet each segment of clients’ needs.
  • Works with other team members to make presentations to potential clients that address needs, concerns and overcome objections.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and examines risks and potentials by estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals and negotiates contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Identifies existing clients' needs to cross-sell or upsell company’s products that meet the existing clients’ needs.
  • Strengthens and maintains the fruitful relationship by working with technical and clients’ services teams in ensuring that demands, concerns, and requests of clients are dealt with in a timely manner.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Role Description
  • First Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position. A preference for a candidate with a similar position in the financial sector.
  • Extensive and strong network in the financial, remittance and pensions sectors.
  • Proven track record to acquire new clients; enter new markets, form strategic partnerships and exceed sales targets.
  • Must possess excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Must be assertive, an excellent communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Must exhibit a sense of initiation and find solutions to problems presented.
  • Must be open, show responsibility and accountability of actions; show respect for self, teams, and systems.​
