Job Description

Position

The Facilities Assistant is responsible to maintain the facilities of the Children’s Department and assist in the storage of all supplies and materials.

Job Specifications

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all rooms and areas
  • Assist in stocking rooms with needed materials for weekend service
  • Assist in managing the storage and maintenance of all items [costumes, props, decorations, supplies, ministry materials]
  • Prepare materials for all classrooms
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the children’s pastor

Required Skills or Experience

Person Specifications

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Must maintain a hands-on approach to work
  • Must possess analytic skills
  • Must have good command of the English language
  • Must be enthusiastic in their approach to work

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of SHS qualification is preferable
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Must have a technical background in carpentry or electrical or be able to use tools for maintenance
  • Experience working in a church setting is preferable [esp. in Children’s Department]
