Job Description

Purpose

  • Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Salon. Strive to maintain and motivate the entire salon team, and also create a culture of care and service excellence among employees
  • Develop and implement Salon operational goals, policies and procedures. Additionally, responsible for leading the efficient and effective Salon operations, including short and long-term strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas of the Salon are kept clean and well maintained at all times
  • Ensure that salon department follows hotels policies and procedures, including health hygiene, emergency and fire prevention
  • Ensure that the salon department follows safety and maintain confidentiality for all guests and colleagues at all times
  • Able to promote and sell salon programmes to groups, conference guests walk-in etc
  • Able to implement and monitor up-selling strategies to maximise salon operational revenue
  • Be the single point of contact for dignitaries, VIP and VVIP guests and co-ordinate their Salon experience
  • Responsible for checking and overseeing all guest settlements like such
  • Responsible to identify and target specific market segments for potential corporate clientele to promote Salon services
  • Responsible for the department training plans and conduct hands-on training for the new recruit
  • Ensure proper inventories of all operating Salon equipment are conducted in line with audit standards in order to effectively manage operational cost
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure proper repair and preventive maintenance works of all salon equipment
  • Monitor and review salon empoyee's performance regularly and provide required guidance
  • Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff up to data on ll aspects of the Salon operation
  • Perform a regular inventory of Spa par levels for retail and operational stocks
  • Raise store requisitions of all retail and operational items as and when required

Required Skills or Experience

  • BSc in Business Administration/Diploma/Degree in Cosmetology
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience as a Salon Manager
  • Willing to deliver the best service to our guest
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership, team and communications skill are essential
  • Strong working knowledge of spa, membership and recreational software
