Job Description
Purpose
Insurance has become a complement to the financial services offered by VisionFund Ghana (VFG) and continues to provide major safety net for the clients in time of need. A new project started to provide Health Insurance products to Savings Groups beneficiaries in Ghana in December 2020. The position seeks to coordinate the implementation of this insurance scheme for the Savings Groups, VFG clients and families and to provide advice on appropriate product mix, best operational practice and lead in staff training in insurance. The position will among others lead all insurance promotional activities, provide education module on insurance and on health.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the insurance team in the country:
- Support the Insurance policies administration:
- Monitor the insurance product performance
- Ensure good quality of service to customer:
- Product development support:
- Insurance reports, highlighting claims ratios etc:
- Evaluation of product for product innovation
- Monitor and assess various partnerships linked to the insurance work of VFG
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in banking and finance or business management or related fields.
- At least 3-year experience in consumer banking, insurance or financial services industry.
- Prior digital banking service experience is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge in insurance, analytical, quantitative, problem solving, communication (written and verbal), presentation, relationship management skills.
- Be proficient in English both speaking and writing.
- Be innovative, dynamic, and confident.
- Must be willing and able to work effectively under pressure and be goal oriented
- Must have strong organisational abilities
- Must be a practicing Christian
