Amplio Ghana is duly registered with the Registrar General Department and Ministry of Gender, children, and Social Protection to operate as a non-governmental organization in Ghana. The organization has been in existence since 2007 and previously operated under the name Literacy Bridge Ghana until 2020. We are the country office of Amplio Network in the USA and have offices in Wa and Tamale. We specialize in the design and delivery of social and behavior change interventions for vulnerable populations in remote and hard-to-reach communities (The last mile). Our mission is to empower the world’s most vulnerable communities through knowledge sharing. We also partner with government, non-governmental, and civil society organizations to amplify the impact of their communication campaigns through the Amplio Talking Book digital solution. Job Description

Summary of Position

  • Reporting to: MEAL/Partnership Development Officer
  • Location: Accra/Kumasi/Ho
  • Duration: One (1) year with possibility of renewal based on performance

 

Overall purpose of this role
Amplio Ghana is searching for people with communication and marketing background and knowledge of the NGO/development sector to lead in the marketing of Amplio Talking Books in the following regions (Greater Accra, Ashanti and Volta). This position will require regular engagement with individuals and institutions/organizations to promote the use of Talking Books and the work of Amplio Ghana. Also, as agent, you will be required to secure partnerships with other institutions or organizations.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a champion for Talking Books in your region.
  2. Scout and visit potential partners to discuss business possibilities for Talking Books.
  3. Identify opportunities with potential partners for implementation of service delivery programs.
  4. Attend events, forums, workshops involving development partners to promote the Talking Book.
  5. Support Amplio Ghana to setup new programs for all close-won opportunities in your region.
  6. Ensure the effective use of marketing materials in your business engagements.
  7. Schedule and facilitate Amplio BD team meetings with potential partners in your region.
  8. Prepare and submit weekly engagement plans to your supervisor.
  9. Submit weekly reports on your engagements with potential partners to your supervisor.
  10. Perform any other responsibility assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience

Person specification

  • Minimum of Diploma in marketing, communication, business development or any relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience of the NGO/development sector in Ghana
  • Passion for digital solutions especially the Talking Book
  • Ability to engage at all levels (field and strategic levels)
  • Ability to network and explore relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
