The Littorals Regional Initiative (LRI) program, implemented by Creative Associates International on behalf of the U.S Agency for International Development’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI), announces its desire to support applications for local level initiatives that will improve the program and its partners’ understanding of current drivers of conflict, instability, and radicalization in the five West Africa coastal countries of Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, and Togo.

Program Summary

The USAID/OTI Littorals Regional Initiative (LRI) is seeking concepts from eligible applicants to improve the program’s understanding of current drivers of conflict, instability, and radicalization in the five West Africa coastal countries of Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea and Togo through innovative action-research, data collection, and community-based activities. Through grants issued under this APS, LRI intends to leverage the capacity of local civil society organizations and private sector partners to understand drivers of conflict, instability, and radicalization. LRI is looking to fund activities that incorporate innovative, community-based, monitoring, research, and analysis capabilities.

This Annual Program Statement outlines LRI’s funding priorities, strategic themes, and the procedure for submitting requests for funding. Applications for programs are accepted on a rolling basis until the deadline of October 31, 2021.
